Lord's work in the midst of Gonu.

Gonu was the worst cyclone that hit Oman in 2007. The whole Oman was massively affected by the powerful wind and heavy rain. We were in a place,called Mazara in Quriat,the most brutely affected area of Gonu. We didnt sleep the whole night, just waiting and listening to the changes taking place outside.We could hear the roaring sound of the cyclone, but that time the rain was feeble. Heavy rain started early morning. It was a torrent. It continued without any break. We were sitting in our house holding our kids closely. My younger son was only two months  that time.We heard sound outside, like someone hitting on the door heavily. I managed to opened the door somehow. It was one my friends who was residing in the same place.He shouted and told me to take the kids and ur valuable things and escape, because the flood has engulfed many of the near by houses,including my friend,who knocked the door. We ran with our kids to a house which was nearly on a mountain. From there we could see that water level increasing alarmingly. The water level was above the palm trees and even over the water tank on the top of the houses.Water was taking houses one by one. There was no hope. the whole people in that area thought that they are all going to die in short time. There was no ray of hope. The heavy rain and wind made people unable to escape to a safer place.I looked at my kids,who have just started thier little lives, I couldnt  bear that they are going to die in their tender ages. I took my kids and wife close to me cried out in the name of Jesus.Then a miracle happened, water started to recide, just leaving ten metres from my house. Lord has protected me and family miraculously. Thank God that not a single human being was not injured . Still, those days are very green in my memory. The pangs of Gonu still lingers me.
